Feed Grade Monosodium Phosphate (MSP) – Solution for Animal Nutrition
Phosphorus is one of the most critical – yet often underutilized – minerals in animal feed. Many traditional phosphate sources have limited bioavailability, especially for young animals and aquatic species.
Through years of research and close collaboration with feed manufacturers, we have developed a high-purity, low-heavy-metal feed grade Monosodium Phosphate (MSP) that delivers exceptional phosphorus digestibility, excellent solubility, and consistent quality – helping you achieve better animal performance and lower environmental impact.
High-concentration, highly bioavailable phosphorus source for poultry, swine, and aquaculture feed. Low heavy metals, excellent flowability, and fully export-ready.
Why Feed Grade MSP?
| Parameter | Benefit |
| High phosphorus content | P ≥ 25.0% – more phosphorus per unit weight |
| Superior bioavailability | Digestibility >90% in monogastric animals (poultry, swine, aquaculture) |
| Excellent solubility | Ideal for liquid feeds, drinking water, and high-moisture formulations |
| Low heavy metal content | Safe for young animals, piglets, and sensitive aquatic species |
| Good flowability | Easy to handle, blend, and store – minimal caking |
| Cost-effective | Higher phosphorus density reduces storage and logistics costs |
Typical Applications
| Application | Function |
| Poultry feed | Supports bone development, eggshell quality, and growth rate |
| Swine feed | Critical for weanling piglets with immature digestive systems |
| Aquaculture feed | Highly soluble – ideal for extruded aquafeed; reduces phosphorus waste |
| Liquid feed & drinking water | Quickly dissolves for direct mineral supplementation |
| Premixes & concentrates | Excellent carrier and blending characteristics |

FAQ
Q: What is the difference between feed grade MSP and DCP?
A: MSP is highly water-soluble with >90% phosphorus digestibility in monogastric animals. DCP has lower solubility and digestibility (50-70%). MSP also contains no calcium, allowing precise calcium-phosphorus ratio adjustment.
MSP is ideal for young animals, liquid feeds, and aquafeed.
Q: Is MSP suitable for ruminants (cattle, sheep)?
A: Yes, but DCP or MCP are more commonly used in ruminants due to lower cost. MSP can be used in high-performance dairy rations or mineral premixes where rapid phosphorus availability is needed.
Q: How should feed grade MSP be stored?
A: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight. Avoid contact with alkalis. Use original sealed packaging.
Q: Can MSP be used in organic feed production?
A: Depending on local organic certification standards. Please consult your certifier. We can provide necessary documentation if required.
Q: What is the shelf life of MSP?
A: 24 months when stored under proper conditions (dry, sealed, away from moisture).
