Industrial MSP & DSP – Solutions for New Energy Battery Applications
The rapid growth of the new energy vehicle and energy storage industries has driven unprecedented demand for high-performance battery materials.
Phosphate-based cathode materials – particularly sodium-ion batteries and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) precursors – require ultra-high-purity sodium and phosphorus sources with tight impurity control.
Through years of technical collaboration with battery material manufacturers, we have developed industrial grade Monosodium Phosphate (MSP) and Disodium Phosphate (DSP) that deliver consistent purity, low heavy metals, and excellent batch-to-batch stability – enabling reliable, high-performance battery material production.
High-purity sodium phosphate salts for sodium-ion battery cathodes, LFP precursor, and other new energy battery material applications. Low impurities, tight particle size control, and full traceability.

FAQ
Q: What is the difference between MSP and DSP for battery applications?
A: MSP (NaH₂PO₄) provides a lower sodium-to-phosphorus ratio (1:1) and acidic pH. DSP (Na₂HPO₄) provides a higher sodium-to-phosphorus ratio (2:1) and alkaline pH. The choice depends on your target cathode stoichiometry and synthesis pH requirements.
Q: What are the critical impurities for battery-grade sodium phosphates?
A: Iron (Fe), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn), chloride (Cl), and sulfate (SO₄). These can cause side reactions, capacity fade, and safety issues. Our battery-grade options control each to ≤10 ppm where required.
Q: Can I use standard industrial grade for battery material production?
A: For R&D or non-critical applications, standard industrial grade may suffice. For commercial production or high-performance batteries, we strongly recommend our battery-grade option with tight impurity control.
Q: Do you offer custom particle size?
A: Yes. We can adjust D50 from fine powder (10-30μm) for solid-state synthesis to larger crystals (100-200μm) for liquid-phase processes. Please specify your requirements.
Q: Are these products suitable for lithium-ion battery applications?
A: MSP and DSP are primarily used as sodium sources for sodium-ion batteries or as phosphate sources for LFP precursors. For direct use in lithium-ion batteries, please consult your technical team.
Q: What documentation do you provide for quality traceability?
A: Each batch comes with a COA including full impurity profile (Fe, Cu, Pb, Cr, Ni, Zn, Cl, SO₄, heavy metals). We also retain batch samples and can provide supply chain documentation upon request.
